Hele fijne en verzorgde woning. Heerlijke locatie als startpunt voor allerlei uitstapjes, wandelingen en voor eventuele vliegvissers. Vriendelijke host en we voelden ons heel welkom.

We had lovely stay at Briony's place with our dog. This cottage was very dog friendly. It has an enclosed garden so I had no worries about letting the dog out. Briony had even thought of all the little things - dog treats, bowls brush, toys, and towel! We enjoyed some drinks on the outdoor area and enjoyed the scenery. From the cottage theres a short 20 min walk to Boat of Garten with lots of wildlife to see. The cottage itself is quaint and has everything you need. Briony was very good at communicating and even met us when we arrived. Lovely welcome to such a lovely stay. Would definitely return!

If you visit the Cairngorms, the Sycamore cottage is an excellent base for walks and sightseeing (Loch Garten, Rothiemurchus, Inverness-coast). The cottage is a nice and neat place to return to in de afternoon. The fenced garden is great for dogs to play around. The tasteful decoration inside and the kitchen are great. The friendly owners even helped us with charging our EV on site. One gets really value for money staying here.

Ideal for cyclists and walkers, a comfortable and peaceful place with lovely views.

I stayed 3 nights at Sycamore Cottage and what a perfect spot for exploring the surrounding area and relaxing both at the start and the end of the day. It was a delight to sit out on the porch early morning with coffee and the sound of bird song after a great night's sleep in a comfy bed.The cottage has everything you need for a break away from home, and I felt right at home in no time. Briony clearly cares about getting it right for her guests,and this is reflected in the added touches. The cottage is spotless and cozy and Briony is friendly and approachable ,with Dexter the dog being an added delight!I recommend staying at Sycamore Cottage in a heartbeat!

A fantastic well appointed cottage . Contained everything you needed and more.Birds were a delight.

We had a wonderful three-night stay in this spacious, peaceful and very comfortable apartment. The kitchen area was excellent, and we particularly enjoyed the private veranda, which was a lovely place to relax after a day exploring the Cairngorms.The upstairs lounge was cosy and offered beautiful views, making it the perfect spot for a morning coffee or a relaxing evening. The apartment was very well equipped and had everything we needed, and the bed was extremely comfortable.The location was ideal for exploring the area. We enjoyed a lovely meal at Anderson’s Restaurant in Boat of Garten and played 18 holes at the friendly Carrbridge Golf Club, which has wonderful views towards the Cairngorms.For future guests, please note that the bedroom is upstairs while the bathroom is downstairs. This wasn’t a problem for us, and the stair lighting was excellent, but it may be useful information for anyone with mobility concerns.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

This is a lovely little home with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting in the little covered outside space watching the numerous birds on the feeders. The nearby river Spey and the Strathspey steam railway were welcome bonuses, with a great walk into Boat of Garten. Would recommend.

Het huisje is heel netjes verzorgd. De keuken is beneden en van alle gemakken voorzien. Ook de badkamer is daar. De zitkamer met TV is boven evenals de slaapkamer. De treden van de trap kun je ‘‘s nachts verlichten. Aan alles is dus gedacht. Het huisje bleek een goede uitvalsbasis voor een prachtige wandeling in de Cairngorm Mountains, Het basisstation van het bergtreintje ligt op ongeveer 30 autominuten van het huisje.Briony kwam ons vriendelijk welkom heten en had allerlei tips voor de omgeving.Tip voor NL-se gasten. Wij hadden een probleempje met onze ANWB-reisstekker. Die maakt niet altijd goed contact met dit type wandcontactdozen. Dit ligt aan de stekker, want ook in de VS / New York was dit een probleem.

Süßes Cottage im Cairngorm Nationalpark 😀 - Ein ganz süßes Cottage auf einem Privatgrundstück. Ganz ruhig gelegen mit eingezäuntem Grundstück. Hinter dem Haus konnte man direkt spazieren gehen. Wir wurden persönlich empfangen.

The place was very cute and overall very nicely maintained! The location is a bit further from some of the things we were hoping to do and restaurants / shops etc. but that was based on locations available when we booked and nothing Briony did. I wouldn’t have minded a few more recommendations for things in the area but they did have some local guide books to look through. The place was cute and felt comfortable and safe. It can be a bit tricky to find so make sure to read instructions carefully. It would have been nice if there was some shampoo or toiletries in the bathroom or notice that there isn’t any so we could have prepared better, but overall a very nice experience.

Honestly had such an amazing stay here whilst I hiked surrounding mountains! The cottage itself was so cute. I loved the wood fire stove. Not only that but you could really tell Briony had thought of every single little little thing guests might need. Thing like the dual wireless charging dock and the speaker were a nice touch! Kitchen and living room is really cool and has natural looking wooden beams. Very cosy vibes! Bed was incredibly comfy. There’s a cute little garden (you can leave the gate open to allow brionys dog in for some cuddles like I did not keep it closed, whichever you prefer). Briony was super friendly and even helped me out when I thought I’d locked myself out. 10/10, would stay again/recommend in a heartbeat 🙂

Amazing area with lots of peaceful walks right from the doorsteps. Accommodation had everything we needed. The only thing that would make it better is probably the shower which is a bit of a trickle. Other than that we had amazing stay with some incredible walks, thank you!

Great cottage which had everything we needed. The location was great for walks and close to nearby towns. Favourite part was watching the birds at the bird feeder in the garden!

Really lovely stay, loved the birdfeeders and waking up to birsong, the fresh eggs, the cozy wood stove and a really lovely space.

😀 - only a 10ish min drive to Aviemore so perfect location, very cost cottage! 😞 - the mattress was quite hard but thats just preference!

We had such a lovely time and our hosts were so friendly and accommodating throughout our trip. The apartment was so tidy and easy to relax into, and we really appreciated having all the kitchen implements we could possibly need. I would recommend to my own friends and family for sure!

😀 - Fantastic location, very helpful and very comfortable, great for an isolated get away. 😞 - Unfortunately the shower kept going hot and cold every 20 seconds but it didn't diminish how absolutely wonderful it was there.

What a lovely cosy cottage. We were given a warm welcome by Briony and Martin. They even gave us fresh eggs from their own hens. The cottage has all the amenities and is surrounded by lovely scenery. The wood fire stove is an especially lovely feature during wintery cold nights, we'll need to get one for ourselves 😅.

A lovely little cottage with views over the railway line and Cairngorms. Perfect for couples but our small family was at home too. Briony and Martin are very friendly and helpful hosts.

Simply perfect 😀 - Lots of thoughtful touches, a dog basket with treats, bowls, toy, towel and throw, ecological cleaning products, a bird feeder with feeding little birds, and fresh eggs from their chickens!

😀 - Everything you need

😀 - Lovely and spacious apartment close to Boat of Garten and very quiet although next to main road (apartment is facing the garden). Both the kitchen and the bathroom are modern and very well equipped (the only thing you might miss is a dishwasher), including a washing mashine which is very useful for longer stays. The bedroom and living room upstairs are both cosy and the bed is very comfortable. Communication with the hosts was good and they were really welcoming and we were provided with some eggs for a nice breakfast and also some tea and coffee. There is a well stocked village shop in Boat of Garten and some supermarkets in Aviemore. Lots of opportunities to spend your days in the surroundings. 😞 - The headroom in the bedroom is limited so when getting up from the right side of the bed you have to be careful not to hit your head. It wasn't a problem for us but maybe not ideal if you have any mobility issues, also the stairs are a bit steep but well lit.

😀 - Lovely space, quiet and private with kitchen worked well. We loved watching the many birds on the feeders. shower room was new and big enough.

Perfect cosy place to explore the Cairngorms from! We loved the views from the apartment and thoughtful touches in the rooms. The kitchen is also very well equipped for self catering. You can easily walk from the garden along a path to the village.

vooraf goed gevraagd waar het verblijf juist ligt.Het is super gelegen en rustig ondanks rijweg.Briony is zeer vriendelijk en laat veel privacy.Ruim verblijf,goeie uitgangspositie voor cairngorm wandelingen.Auto tot vertrekpunt vereist.Absolute aanrader
