Golf – Boat of Garten has a James Braid golf course, and many of the other local villages also contain golf courses open to the public.
Cycling – There are numerous bike rides and trails available locally. Bikes can be hired from ride cairngorm by the railway station in Boat of Garten.
Horse Riding – Riding lessons and treks are available at Rothiemurchus, near Aviemore, or the Carrbridge Trekking Centre
Walking – there are stunning self-guided walks available locally, and a book of local short walks and local maps are available in the cottage. We are a short distance off the Speyside Way for those wanting to walk part of the long distance path.
Fishing – The River Spey, Loch Vaa and other local lochs and rivers offer fantastic fishing. Permits are available for both trout and salmon fishing from Boat of Garten Post Office.
