You are very welcome to bring your beloved dog(s) to Sycamore Cottage so long as they are well-behaved, but we do ask you to keep them off the furniture. If your dog is unlikely to be able to comply with this please do tell us and we will provide you with throws, etc. to cover the chairs and bed.
Please do not leave your dog(s) alone in the cottage. We are happy to dog sit, by prior arrangement, if you are going out for the day or evening and are unable to take your dog with you.
Our collie/labrador cross, Dexter has the run of our garden (which is adjacent to your self contained garden) and welcomes most canine playmates. There is excellent dog walking in the fields just below the cottage, but please note that there is generally livestock (cattle in the summer, sheep in the winter) so letting them run off the lead may be unwise. Beyond the farmed land, along the river there is plenty of open space for exercising dogs, although rabbits, deer and hares are plentiful, so please don’t let them off the lead if there is any risk of them chasing the wildlife.
If you do decide to bring your dog there will be a charge of £10 (per dog) to cover additional cleaning costs.
Please pick up your dog’s waste and place poo bags in the green wheely bin.
